I love painting. writing. finding. capturing. sharing. making.

Hi, I’m Genni Lib!

Artist, photographer, mom of two and communications pro focused on building a steady studio art practice here in Beaufort, SC. I, with my husband and two kids, moved to this gorgeous town in June specifically, to get a better work-life-nature-community-creative balance. We love it already.

I’m seeking part-time work that allows me to both learn directly from working artists and contribute through communications and studio support. I’m especially drawn to artists who blend realist, abstract, and expressive styles and who are open to mentorship. I bring with me a strong communications background, a Sony camera, and a sleeves-rolled-up readiness for hands-on work. I’ve linked more details below.

If this is you or reminds you of someone you know, please reach out either by phone or e-mail. I’d love to connect.

Selected Artwork

As an artist, I’m drawn to color, light, and the stories hiding in ordinary moments. My paintings, photos, and jewelry begin as small observations - a shadow on a wall, a found shell, a feeling I can’t quite name - and become ways of tracing connection between people and place. Below is a small gallery of portraits, pastel studies, watercolor moments, sketchbook scribbles, gemstone jewelry, and playful landscape photographyβ€”a window into my creative practice over the past few years.

I’m inspired by Dutch and Italian Renaissance art, birds, Odilon Redon, the post-impressionists, poetry, shells, clouds, Maira Kalman, my sweet children, and contemporary artists who treat hue and shadow with more emotional truth than literalism. I love weaving poetry and words into my work, and simply put, I’ve always loved creating - turning the beautifully small details of life into reasons to be still and reflect.

I’ve spent 15+ years in communications, creative direction & brand storytelling.

Although no longer my primary focus, my background still comes in handyβ€”especially when supporting other artists, small teams, and community organizations with content, campaigns, and thoughtful visuals. View my selected communications work below:
